June 2021: After what seems like an eternity in lock down, things are starting up again in the Hartl Lab and samples have arrived on campus from the recent DeepGreen cruise to assess the impact of experimental deep sea mining.

January 2020: Latest microplastics paper from our work in Orkney.

January 2020: Funding success: British Council Newton Fund funded work shop on Analytical
techniques to isolate and characterise microplastics from environmental and biological samples
with China (£42k), in collaboration with Prof Jeanette Rotchell of Hull University.
